In the Pipeline - Sharon’s next novels

I am irrevocably, everlastingly in love with India. If you have read any of my books you will know this. People ask, why India? And, are you part Indian? And so on.

The answer to that second question is no.

As to the first question, the "why India" one: if you have to ask you won't accept any answer I can give, because the answer is not rational.

My teenage best friend was from an orthodox Hindu family and through her I got my first glimpse into this fascinating world. Later I learned Yoga, which gave me whole life a totally new direction. And then I visited the country itself...

I am not the first Western novelist to be inspired by India's mystique. Somerset Maugham, it is known, based a part of his novel The Razor's Edge" on an experience he had in India; he was a visitor to the Ashram where I too lived for a while.
