Sharon Maas "I wrote my first stories at the age of eight. I was a silent, observant child who much preferred writing to speaking, exploring my inner world rather than collecting facts. My  introverted temperament led me directly to writing. In real life I felt awkward, insecure; in fiction I was strong, confident, courageous."

Sharon Maas

Sharon Maas was born in Guyana in 1951. Educated in England, she has lived in India and Germany and now resides back in England. Married with two children, she is the author of three novels published by HarperCollins, with a fourth in the pipeline.

The Observer
on Of Marriageable Age:

Gripping.... her epic love story feels like an authentic reflection of a world full of sadness, joy and surprise.
